USPCA 2025 National PD1 Trials Tim Jones Memorial Award

The USPCA presents the coveted Tim Jones Memorial Award “each year to the First Place Department team.” This Memorial Award is in honor of St Paul K9 Officer Timothy J. Jones & his K9 partner Laser who were killed on August 26, 1994 by the suspect who had murdered St Paul Officer Ron Ryan Jr. earlier in the day. We are honored to bring this award back to St Paul.

In addition to their outstanding team performance, they achieved the following individual performance awards:

- Criminal Apprehension: 3rd Place-Off A. Spear (K9 Max)

- Top Total Search Team: 5th Place-Off. A. Meier (K9 Smokey), 4th Place-Off. B. Campbell (K9 Doc)

- Top Overall Performance: 20th Place-Off. M House (K9 Brick), 15th Place-Off. A. Spear (K9 Max), 9th Place-Off. A. Meier (K9 Smokey), 5th Place-Off. B. Campbell (K9 Doc)

We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and accomplishments!

We also want to recognize and congratulate the Washington County Sheriff's Office (2nd Place-Top Department Team) and the Minneapolis Police Department (3rd Place-Top Department Team) on their performance! Way to represent Minnesota, United States Police Canine Association Region 18, and United States Police Canine Association Region 12!
